LESSON PLAN 5
Front Defence, Front Drive & Back Defence
Reinforcement Session

REINFORCEMENT Sessions ...
an important part of the skill development process!
REINFORCEMENT Sessions allow players (and coaches) to practice and refine skills and knowledge before moving on to new techniques. They also allow the player to feel some control and mastery over the skills developed up to this stage.
REINFORCEMENT Sessions provide players with some ‘mental’ rest from having to learn new processes allowing the brain time to assimilate the techniques and concepts already developed prior to the next set of skills learning.
Players will face a minimum of 6 sets of balls in this session – this provides a lot of opportunity for skill development and consolidation.
