BATTING ESSENTIALS
TM
Cricket COACHING SYSTEM
Essentially, TIMING is getting the bat to meet the ball in the correct Hitting zone for each shot.
There are 2 types of TIMING:
Type 1
Bat to ball TIMING (bat meeting the ball in the Hitting zone) - most players understand this type of timing.
Type 2
TIMING that involves moving our body parts in the correct sequence to allow the bat to meet the ball in the Hitting zone.

CORRECT SEQUENCE
Each shot involves a sequence of body movements which, when performed in the proper order (sequence), allows the bat to meet the ball at the correct time.
CONTACT
When making contact with the ball in the hitting zone, ideally players should be looking to use the sweet spot or middle of the bat.
