Regardless of which hand is dominant, both hands have a job to do when swinging the bat!
The top hand controls the bat and the bat swing
The job of the top hand is to put the power from the bottom hand through the direction of the shot
TOP HAND GRIP
For the top hand to effectively perform its role of controlling the bat swing path and to place the power through the ball, a correct top hand grip is essential.
WRIST SET
A correct top hand grip ensures the player maintains a secure hold of the bat and places the wrist in a strong position (refer wrist set position concept).
WRIST POWER
Proper use of the top hand controls the bat swing and allows the top wrist to place the power supplied by the bottom hand, through the direction of the shot.
