LESSON PLAN 4 begins with a reinforcement of the Front Defence and Front Drive before introducing and developing the movement patterns and concepts associated with the BACK DEFENCE.

The hitting zone for the BACK DEFENCE is beside the front hip
​​Staying side on at impact and NOT rotating the hips or shoulders
Front toe to shoelaces position (hips to remain side on)
Vertical number ‘9’ position (high front elbow)
Bottom of bat (toe of bat) finishing between the pads
When running each lesson, check the setup and setup routine for each ball
