FRONT DRIVE
BODY POSITION
HANDS TO THE BALL – HANDS THROUGH THE BALL reminds players to keep the top hand in control and following the direction of the shot after contact – this helps to STOP the body from rotating.
BEGINNING PLAYERS
Beginning players tend to over-engage the bottom hand (usually their dominant hand) when playing the Front Drive.

HANDS TO THE BALL – HANDS THROUGH THE BALL encourages players to ensure both hands are in control during the shot.
FRONT DRIVE
When playing a Front Drive, players should maintain a high front elbow during the downswing to the ball. This will ensure the top hand continues through the ball after impact.
A strong 'top hand' controlled swing, enables the bottom hand to provide power through the shot.
